The purpose of this is to provide you with your general purpose computing account details and some information that you may find helpful.  Your computing account will be used to access your 1 GB Exchange mailbox, Blackboard, the Video Communication Center, as well as your 500 MB of network file storage space.

Our goal is to provide you with the resources and information needed to activate your computing account and access the tools required for your course work.  We hope you find this information concise and informative and we look forward to serving you during the course of the semester.

You should have received an email from the Missouri S&T Admissions Department containing information on how to set your password for the first time.  Once your password has been set your account will be ready for use. If you did not receive such an email please contact the Missouri S&T IT Solutions Center at (573) 341-4357 or by submitting an online help request at https://help.mst.edu and clicking the 'Click here to log in as Guest' link.  Please be ready to provide your name, student number and contact information when requesting assistance from the Solutions Center.

 Distance and Continuing Education web page (wealth of information - consider book marking): "Quick Links" (upper left-hand side) gives easy access to other links you'll need. http://dce.mst.edu

 Once inside a particular course, included information: access "live" class, archived class, call-in numbers (connects you to the live class) and Control Room number (gives you access to a "live" person during your class, if you have problems).  This information is not populated until after the current semester is over.  The 5 digit class # found under Enrollment Information, which is the number needed to register you in future semesters.

 Books:  Departments and Bookstores work directly with each other, which means the bookstores will have current book information on courses.

 VideoCommunications Center (VCC): Produces classes.

Live Stream Test: (very important) this will ensure that you're computer is ready for your course.
