Instructions to convert the background existing PowerPoint presentations

PowerPoint 2007:

Above, find a link to a jpg image that will serve as your new background. Right-click on the link and "Save Target As"  to your hard drive in an easily remembered place. The instructions below will allow you to change the background of your presentations without cutting and pasting. Contact us if you have any questions. 

Open your existing PowerPoint 2007 presentation / click on the Design Tab / click on background styles (right side) / choose Format Background / choose fill / Format or texture fill / Insert from - choose location of saved jpg from this site / click apply to all / save your presentation.

Carefully review each slide as you may have to realign some of your text due to the new background image.

PowerPoint 2003:

Above, find a link to a jpg image that will serve as your new background. Right-click on the link and "Save Target As"  to your hard drive in an easily remembered place. The instructions below will allow you to change the background of your presentations without cutting and pasting. Contact us if you have any questions.

Open your existing PowerPoint presentation / click on Format / Background / use the drop-down menu to find Fill Effects / click on the Picture tab / find the picture you saved on your hard drive / hit Apply To All / Save your presentation.

Carefully review each slide as you may have to realign some of your text due to the new background image.


IMPORTANT NOTE: If you find your text boxes show up with a white background you will need to follow these instructions:
Choose each text box on each slide and choose the fill button - the bucket icon (click on small arrow to the right of the button) at the bottom of the page. It will give you the option to have "No Fill". Remember to save frequently as you go through your slides.

Choose each text box on each slide and choose the line color button - the paint brush icon (click on small arrow to the right of the button) at the bottom of the page. It will give you the option to have "No Fill". Remember to save frequently as you go through your slides.

Instructions for changing the text color (on all slides):
Open an existing PowerPoint presentation / View / Master / Slide Master... / Format / Master Layout / choose Text and Title / change the color of the text on your titles and text / View / Normal / Save your presentation if you are satisfied with the changes you made.

If not, repeat this procedure.
